The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT for short), also known as tapping acupressure, is a gentle and effective method of emotional self-help. It combines elements of modern psychology with traditional principles of Chinese acupressure. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body - while consciously dealing with stressful thoughts or feelings - emotional blockages and beliefs can be released and inner balance restored.
EFT is based on the assumption that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in the body's energy system. By addressing these disturbances on an energetic level, deep-seated fears, stress, pain or beliefs can also be gently transformed. Many people report noticeable relief and greater inner peace after just a few applications.

Whether you are emotionally stressed, want to break certain behavioral patterns or are simply looking for more inner clarity - EFT can help you reconnect with your inner strength. Identify the obstructive belief you want to remove. Ask your subconscious mind to give you an intensity rating of the believe on a range form 10 (maximum) to 0 (it is gone) and feel the answer. Alternatively you may use a kinesiological test.

Take some deep breaths to calm down your body and mind.
The setup sentence that you say while tapping on the edge of your hand attunes your subconscious to the theme of the tapping session: “Even if I have problem XY with a strength of N, i now love and respect myself as I am”.
As you say this sentence, tap the edge of the other hand with all the fingers (flat hand) of your dominant hand.
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the setup sentence.
In this step, you tap the highest point of your head with your dominant flat hand while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
In this step, you tap the inner beginning of your eyebrow with the index and middle finger of your dominant hand together (left or right doesn't matter) while you say the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
4th tapping step - tapping the side of your eye
In this step, you tap with the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand together next to the outside of your eye (left or right doesn't matter) while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
5th tapping step - tapping under your eye
In this step, you tap with the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand together under your eye (left or right doesn't matter) while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
In this step, you tap with the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand together between your nose and mouth while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
In this step, you tap with the index and middle fingers of your dominant hand together below your mouth (you will find a small indentation there) while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
In this step, you tap the beginning of your collarbones on the left and right simultaneously with the index and middle fingers of each hand (you will find a small indentation there) while saying the tapping sentence: “My problem XY with strength N is ....” (name the problem as stated in the setting sentence).
Do this three times in succession while permanently repeating the tapping sentence.
Once you are finished with those 8 steps take some deep breaths and then repeat the asking your subconscious mind to give you an intensity of the believe on a range form 10 (maximum) to 0 (it is gone). Normally you will notice a decrease of intensity of your addressed belief.
Repeat the process until intensity is 0. If you repeat the process, you can omit the first step with the adjustment sentence during the repetitions. If you switch to a different task, the step with the adjustment sentence is again required for the first execution. Even if you don't switch to a different exercise but take a break of more than 20 minutes, the step with the adjustment sentence is required again.
