Lesson 2 on belief patterns helps you to achieve real and lasting change by consciously recognizing and positively changing your paradigms - your deeply rooted patterns of thought and behaviour. Everything you create in life is created through the chain of thoughts → feelings → actions → results. This chain is transformed in this lesson.


Core content of lesson 2

1️⃣ What your belief patterns do to you and within you

Your belief patterns are mental programs that are stored in your subconscious. They control over 95% of your daily decisions, actions and reactions - automatically. They arise or have arisen through repetition and conditioning (upbringing, environment, school). Like your self-image (discussed in detail in lesson 3), they are part of your paradigm - the subconscious pattern that essentially controls your behavior.


Even if you have defined your new goals, you will automatically fall back into old patterns if you do not change your paradigm.  Paradigms create self-sabotage, procrastination, doubt, aso..


2️⃣ Change your belief patterns and your thinking sustainably

You cannot change your behavior directly without also adapting your thinking and feeling. If you don't feel inwardly connected to your goal, you are unconsciously sabotaging yourself. Emotion is the motor for action - not just willpower.


In this lesson I will show you how to get to your unhelpful belief patterns, how to dissolve them and how to replace them with helpful belief patterns.")

 

Tools & exercises from lesson 2

 1️⃣ Identify your paradigms

You identify old, limiting thought and behavior patterns that prevent you from achieving your goal through self-observation and pattern recognition. You take time for reflection on a daily or weekly basis and ask yourself questions such as:


  • What thoughts are holding me back?
  • What is repeated in my actions?
  • Where do I react instead of consciously acting?


2️⃣ Program your new paradigms

You replace the old paradigm with a powerful counter-conviction: a new, constructive self-image. To do this, you reformulate the old paradigm into a powerful counter-conviction


  • Use the present tense
  • Keep it positive and motivating
  • Charge it with emotion
  • Write it by hand 10-20 times a day
  • Read it out loud - with emotion and conviction


Example:


  • Old: “I am not a sales talent.”
  • New: "I am passionate about helping people with what I offer. Selling is giving value."


3️⃣ Repetition and action

You learn to break old automatisms through conscious action and thus form new neural pathways of the new self-image.
Example:


  • Old paradigm: “I don't like talking in front of people.”
  • New action: Volunteer for a short speech.


4️⃣ Visualization and affirmation/afformation

You imagine your beliefs in the morning and evening based on your new paradigms (your subconscious mind “believes” what you tell it vividly and emotionally, the clearer and more emotional, the more effective. Use music or closed eyes. You set yourself 3-5 minutes as a fixed ritual):


  • You have already achieved it.
  • How do you look?
  • What are you doing?
  • How do you feel?


Choose 1-3 affirmations/afformations that match your goal.


  • Repeat them out loud or in your head - with conviction and energy - in the morning, in the evening, on the go - the more often, the deeper the effect!
  • Write them on index cards or in your cell phone, for example.


5️⃣ Emotion work: consciously create an emotion

You reinforce the emotion while visualizing or using affirmations:


  • Gratitude
  • Joy
  • Security

TrustTo do this, ask yourself: “How does it feel to have already achieved my goal (the new belief pattern)?”


The feeling leads to action - not the other way around. Feelings are the fuel for action and manifestation.


6️⃣ Goal-oriented action and journaling

From now on, you act like the person who is already living your new belief pattern - you make decisions based on the new paradigm of your success ego. You ask yourself:


“What would my future success-self do now?”
“Would my success-self hesitate - or act?”


This is how you align your thoughts, feelings and actions with your goal.
